The Goal Achieving Process

You may be surprised to know that most people do not have a clear plan for what they intend to experience. So the first step in the goal achieving process is to establish clear measurable goals in each of the Three Pillars of our life

1. Health
2. Relationships
3. Money

Once we establish the goals and the time frame for achieving these goals, it is very important to define the daily action steps we will take that will result in goal achievement.

Where Most of Us Screw Up Goal Achievement

When setting goals most of the people I know (and I catch myself doing this all the time) think in terms of “this is what I want!”.  We dismiss or do not remember the Law of Attraction which tells us the Universe delivers back to us the vibration that we send out.  So when we “want” we create more of the situations that result in us “wanting”.

Our opportunity is to recognize that all we intend to experience is already here for us to manifest.  We seem to ignore or block our personal power. I feel the number one way that we block this power is by focusing on what we want to experience.  Numerous thought leaders throughout history remind us that the more we help others experience what they prefer, the faster we can experience what we prefer.  The focus on helping others experience what we personally intend to experience has a big bonus called the multiplier effect.  The multiplier effect is where we do something that helps more than one person, we receive back the energy from multiple people.  This may be challenging to accept because we often look for evidence. Thing is the Law of Reciprocity is always working and is timeless.  Timeless is the reason we are not always able to correlate what we do for others as benefiting ourselves in a measurable way.

Study the Laws and Principles in depth if that serves you. In the meantime, focus on the process of being grateful for what you intend to experience being already here, taking the inspired action that leads to goal experiencing and remember the more we help others to experience their intentions the faster we will experience ours.

I vividly remember reading “Thank God Anyway” in the book Dynamic Laws of Prosperity. I personally have not had as much appreciation for gratitude as I have this week. I know we have a huge opportunity to deepen our appreciation for The Laws of The Universe with every event that seems to be opposite of what we intend.

Remember The Law of Opposites

The Law of Opposites like the Law of Attraction is always working…remember to know hot you need to know cold and to know light you need to know dark and the Universe works on polarity and so on. When we are creating the experiences we intend to show up on the physical plane, the opposite appears first. Our opportunity is to be in gratitude for every experience we have. “Thank you God for this gift…the treasure that is in this experience” regardless of the experience. I was reminded of that this week in my re-reading Happier Than God. One day I may share with you the magnitude of this guidance for me this week. For now I want you to understand that no matter what you are experiencing when you understand your power of attraction and the laws of Attraction, Opposite, Wisdom, Wonder and Cycles (thank you God for Neale Donald Walsch) you can move from judgement into gratitude and from gratitude to creating the live of your dreams.

I hope you are doing great. However if you are in pain, if you are in fear, if you are very stressed consider this following story:

A little thing can be enormously significant. Retired Brigadier General Robinson Risner was a prisoner of war in North Vietnam for more than seven years. He was in solitary confinement for five of those years.

He suffered from cold, heat, malnutrition, and lack of fresh air. He was totally deprived of any human comfort. He jogged in his cell by the hour. When he became so frustrated he had to scream, he stuffed his underwear into his mouth to muffle the scream. He would not give his captors the satisfaction of knowing his frustration.

One day, in the depths of despair, General Risner lay down on the floor and looked all around his small cell. He put his eye next to the cinder blocks, hoping that there would be a crack in one of them. Fortunately, there was a minute opening and he saw a single leaf. Later he stated that seeing that evidence of life outside was a tremendously uplifting and life-changing event.

Experiences Completely Opposite of What I Intended To Attract Resulted In The Expansion of My Awareness of Gratitude and Forgiveness.

A year ago my mom was on the physical plane. Now she  is not.  Her transition was a message for me to really study death and I did. I have written about that and delivered key points at her funeral. Click Here for that video and text message. The audio is weak unless you have external speakers with a sound booster.  Since last year there are new challenges for me and one that is very serious. I know I am responsible for what I attract into my life.  Like many others I am not able to link any state of thinking or energy to the creation of situations opposite of what we prefer.

The events we experience that are opposite of what we intend to attract are the ones for me that result in going deeper into the study of Spirit, God, Divine Source Energy. The guidance is always there.  ”Ask and you shall receive”!  Look at the recent articles I have published on this site just in the past two months. You will see a strong thread of guidance to help you understand just as that has helped me understand something I shared with my readers a long time ago and that is each one of us are individual manifestations of God. At the core of who we are is the same energy that created the Universe.  The best physical description of that energy is “Unconditional Love” I also enjoy the words God is peace, harmony, opulence and perfect experience.

I absolutely know there are no limitations to what we can do that is in alignment with our individual purpose for being here. I also know that I have been conditioned for a long time to think and act like most others including having near perfected most negative emotions which block my Inner Power and instead most of my conscious life I still defer to the outer power of my physical mind and world.

God worked through me to deliver an idea some time ago that still to this day summarizes our opportunity for joy, happiness and abundance. That idea was the energetic sharing of Unconditional Love.  I set up a website totally devoted to Unconditional Love and the Unconditional Love Hug. As I pause today this Thanksgiving Day to share with those in the United States a special Happy Thanksgiving, I share with all wherever you are an Unconditional Love Hug and the energy of gratitude for my continuing to expand  awareness of gratitude and forgiveness starting with myself  for creating anything opposite  of  Unconditional Love.

I also share with you the wisdom from one of my most treasured teachers Neale Donald Walsch Neale writes on his blog The Global Conversation

“In Conversations with God the message about gratitude is clear. It is the most powerful form of prayer. Gratitude inadvance, not gratitude after the fact.

This is because to thank God in advance for something is the highest form of faith. It is a statement of supreme confidence. It is the Ultimate Knowing.

My mom transitioned a couple of months ago and when I realized that the time was near, I began to study the book by  Neale Donald Walsch  ”Home With God”  The guidance in this book was transformational for me.  I knew I had the foundation for not fearing death and not only that I understood how to celebrate physical death while knowing the physical emotions we experience when we become aware of physical death are all on purpose.

As written in Home With God …when we are able to celebrate death we are able to live life without fear.  Living life without fear is my current mission and I have a lot of circumstances that test me.

Does living with no fear mean I intend on being  a reckless person? No! I respect life and I respect and practice what we know about good health and energy and more.  I continue to advance my skills with the goal of being able  to help others.  I work on forgiveness…forgiving myself for those times when I am not all that I  can be  for me or another.   I focus on being an example  of  Unconditional Love and releasing the frustration of knowing I have a great opportunity for demonstrating the  state of  Unconditional Love energy much more than I do at any given moment.

What I have learned this year the most is what I intellectually learned quite some time ago and that is Oneness. We are all of one Divine Energy Source.  This knowing is the basis for all the guidance in “Home With God” as well as other resources I continue to study. No matter what we read, see or experience that may be totally opposite of who we are and our value system, at the source is the same Divine Source Energy.  Understanding this is easy for me. Being that which I know is true is not as easy for me as I have a lifetime of thinking opposite of that.

Tony Robbins challenges us to ask the questions each day …the questions like

what makes us the most happy and what am I doing to show gratitude for that person or situation

how can I best make the most of this day?

what can I focus on that is positive, uplifting and meaningful for me?

what can I do to provide maximum value?

….and Tony offers many more ideas for question and advocates that our entire thought process is a series of questions with most of us focused on those questions that are not serving us.  The obvious solution is to focus on those question that do serve us and do result in us being in a very positive productive state.

My steps forward in awareness of what is important have been huge this year…thank you Mom , Neale Donald Walsch, Tony Robbins, Randy Gage, Catherine Ponder, Mike Dooley, Napoleon Hill and so many others who have guided me and continue to guide me.

My birthday wish is for you to expand your awareness.  There are no limits for what you can accomplish and my dreams are for you to break down the barriers to you unlimited potential and manifest all your dreams and desires.  I also ask you hold me in your prayers so that I too am able to dismiss all discord and experience all that is  possible and intended for me.

Birth is the first breath of our journey home.  We are intended to experience the fullest extent of life. That intent comes from God who experiences life through us. Our power comes from God and we create our lives using that power. Without God we would not be and without us nothing would exist in the physical plane.

Mom was part of the physical energy that  gave birth to four children after become the wife of her husband and being married to him now for nearly 63 years.  Throughout her life she remained a loyal sister. Her life’s purpose was clear to her and she lived it. She was first and foremost a mom and wife and she lived her life with God.

Thinking about the more recent handful of years when her body began to weaken, there was no time she evidenced any fear of her body dying.  So she lived with gusto. Everything she did was to help her family and others. No matter how little we had, she always found something to give.

How wonderful it is to know that you have lived your life to its fullest and peacefully decided it is time to go home to God. The morning before her transition, she insisted to have her hair done. That is something that had not been of interest to her for quite some time. She wanted to look her best.

My mom  has given up her body to rejoin our Spiritual source. She knows we are not our body and we are not our mind. Those of us who grew up with her have many experiences where we could say “well God cannot possibly be at the source of what she is doing or saying!” But you see that is human judgement. God just laughs at the whole idea of of judgement. Humans created that.

God is unconditional love and God is always part of every part of us. So we don’t return to God we simply release the physical form that creates the physical experiences.

We on earth have an opportunity to grow in our understanding of death from this experience with her. We have the opportunity to be joyful or not.  Can we be joyful and still experience the loss of this woman…the passing of all the experiences with her wisdom. Yes we can be joyful know she is in bliss while we have tears streaming down our face as we are saddened by what once was.

Our job is to be unconditional love and send that message energetically to all.  Tough assignment for us humans. My mom demonstrated this all the time.  If you paused to examine what was going on with her even at her most passionate moments of anger,  you would find an amazing loving heart with only the best of intentions.

When she had nothing she baked for others. When she was tired and weary she sang for herself for us whether we wanted to hear it or not and she sang in the choir. After a full week of hard work she always had the energy to go dancing with my dad or go on a trip to the casinos with a very defined limit as to how much she was prepared to invest in that fun. Most of the time she came back with more than she took.

My mom could sing “praise God” in the morning and be more than direct with her words for people who she felt were crossing her, her family or the community.

With all that she did, with all that she said and didn’t say she, demonstrated life with God.

A lot of who I am is because of her love, guidance, example and work to help me. She was an anchor for all of us when my father and I were in a very serious car accident when I was very young. There was no health insurance and little money. Family and community came together and that system worked. Our country would be well served to return to those principles of taking care of each other.

I am blessed she is my mother.  I miss her physical vitality and I rejoice where she is now.

On October 20, 2011 Helen Pohlit would have celebrated her 63 wedding anniversary.  She lived 84 years and the world is a better place because of her.

As I think about my life with my mom and especially some very economic challenging times when I was growing up, I realized that somehow she knew that if lemonaide was going to be created out of lemons, someone was going to have to step up be responsible and squeeze the lemons.  Mom was a woman of action and love. Our world would be less arduous to navigate with most of us taking more responsibility for the outcome of our lives  and living each day taking focused action with a posture of unconditional love for others.  I love her especially for all the   lessons.

Mom I am not quite ready but there will  be a day when we will be dancing again. Meantime watch over us and help us remember

When you are no longer afraid to die then you are not afraid of anything and you can truly live.

Mom – this is not goodbye …oh no not at all. You are still very much with us and always will be.

We’re here to celebrate the life of Helen Pohlit…wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend.

A lot of nice things have been said about mom, and rightfully so. She was very giving, had a good sense of humor, great baker and cook, loving wife.

But I’m here to tell you how mean she was, especially to me.

For example, my mother was a slave driver. As many of you know she used to make her own candy, especially around Christmas and Easter…all kinds of chocolate covered goodies. She used to buy these 10 lb. slabs of Hershey’s chocolate that was the main ingredient for these confections she made. In order to do that, she had to melt the candy. In order to melt the candy, she needed it to be cut down into manageable pieces so she could melt them in her stove top cauldron. So what does she do? She MAKES ME cut the chocolate into manageable sized pieces so she could do her dirty work. I had to slave over mounds of chocolate many times as a young boy…what a slave driver she was…best darn job any kid could ever think of!!!!

Yeah, my mother was mean. She used to preach about “Broadening my Horizons”. I’m like, what does that even mean? For example, she made me try liver & onions. She made me give good effort to cleaning my plate at supper time…she made me think of all the starving kids in India & China. I hated those kids in India & China. It wasn’t my fault they were starving. As I grew up, I learned that those were lessons in what she would call “broadening my horizons”. You can’t talk about anything unless you have tried it first. I’ve learned that it was a good lesson. I’ve tried passing it on to our children.

My mother was mean. She made me do things I didn’t want to do. For example, when I was in high school at Bishop McCort, I got a part-time after-school and weekends job as a bagger and clerk at Quaker Market on Osbourne St., now Bi-Lo I believe. It was Ok as a job but it was clear to me pretty early on that this was not the job of all jobs. I got home from school one day and it happened to be my day off from work. The phone rang and it was my boss. She needed me to come in to work because somebody called in sick. I made something up and told her I had stuff to do and couldn’t work that day. She stressed that she needed me but I said no.
My mom asked who was on the phone. I told her the story. She said I should call back and tell them I’ll be there shortly. I told mom I didn’t want to work…I needed a break. She said employers are looking for people that are dependable and trustworthy and I could be that person. Mom won that battle and I did call back and went to work that evening. They were very happy to see me. Over time, I turned into one of their best workers, was given more responsibility and was one of the people they could always depend on in a crisis. Mom was mean. She taught me how to be dependable and hard working. I have never been able to work any other way and have tried passing that trait on to our children. As I look at my children, I believe we have succeeded in doing so, thanks to mom being the way she was.

My mother was mean. She used to embarrass me all the time. For example, she loved to sing and had a beautiful voice. She sang in this church choir for many years. But she loved standing in her kitchen cooking, cleaning, baking, whatever…and inevitably she would be singing. I don’t mean La, La, la. I mean top of your lungs, don’t miss a note, and carry it forever, beautiful singing! Why was that bad? Well, very often I would be outside hanging out with friends, doing what kids do outside, and we could hear mom singing. For God’s sake, all the neighbors far and wide could hear her! Couldn’t she keep it down? It was so embarrassing. My friends would joke a little and so would I. But as a lover of music myself, in the back of my mind, I thought it was beautiful. I thought she was good enough to have a record contract. But I never told her that and certainly never mentioned that to my friends. But one on one, we would go through some of her record albums and she turned me on to Nat King Cole, Jim Reeves, Phil Harris, Mario Lanza, Tennessee Ernie Ford, Andy Williams and others. I played those records when nobody was around and developed an appreciation for music that you could sing to. My mother embarrassed me that way. And now she is carrying on in the BIG choir, carrying a tune and you can pick out her voice above others as always. My sister Kathy is probably embarrassed right now, and so proud I am sure.

I could use one more loud, top of your lungs, don’t miss a note, carry it forever, song from mom. That will have to wait. Right now she is busy singing in the BIG choir, and they are not embarrassed at all.

I Love You Mom. Rest in Peace.
