The principle of taking action on ideas linked to your vision of achieving goals is timeless. Neale Donald Walsh has written “pay attention to the messages you are intended to receive” This is about the messages I received and took action on and why. For clarity I am not writing my history of how I got to this point. There is alot of history. The point is I got this message on the topic of multiple streams of income and residual income. That message is to be excited about what you are presenting and talking  to people about  and especially focused on what conversations they are already having in their head.

I have two primary businesses where I focus most of my time. Those businesses started and grow by continually defining my goals, visualizing how they develop, getting ideas on growth and expansion and taking action. This article is about using the same process in connection with my interest in selecting other business opportunities supporting my goal and vision of a vibrant residual income flow. I am sharing this with you as it may save you a bunch of time, money and trouble. It took me quite some time to appreciate what I am going to share with you.

Steve’s Business Opportunity Selection Criteria

1. Capitalize on products that people are already using in mass quantities with an alternative offering a unique selling proposition. So when I discovered two companies whose products I was already using I was immediately drawn to those opportunities. They are easy for me to talk about as I am excited to personally use the products of those companies….love em.

2. Re-read Number 1

The Exception …Or Is It?

A very brief post on Facebook by a FB friend something along the lines of retire in 24 months along with a comment by a lady who said she read it and already “was in” caught my attention not because of the product but because of the marketing. Then I watched a couple of brief videos and felt the company One24 had gotten it right…kinda like Apple getting it right with the iPhone then the iPad. One24 is simple, it has an amazing “hook” which is “Check Out My Website and If You Like It, I Will Add You To My Waiting List” …that is their 30 second training and it works.

The following is about the entire email I sent out to a list and to several of my groups on Facebook….Check Out My New Website and If You Like It I Will Add You To My Waiting List. I sent that out on a Sunday morning (very low traffic time) and within 24 hours I had 20 people on my waiting list and in the next 24 hours maxed out the number of people I could add at that time to the business.

In the biography of Steve Jobs there is a story about his 2005 commencement address at Stamford University. There were three stories he shared with the graduates. The one that had the most impact for him and the audience was on how his cancer was the most important experience of his life. In summary, he said once he faced the reality of his death, he became very liberated in his view of life. He understood that all expectations, anxieties, stresses…all the negative emotions most of us give a lot of attention to are dismissed at the moment of death. This awareness gave him an acute understanding of what was really important to him.

Subsequently he led the development of the iPhone and iPad (tablet computing) and these products transformed the technology world. Steve knew he had the talent to make a huge difference int the world and that is his legacy. It is very interesting to note the iPhone was heavily discounted by the technology industry as a product very few would purchase. We know the rest of the story. It is also interesting to look at Steve’s life and say…well did he focus on his health, his family and personal relationships? Really important opportunity here to focus on manifesting your authentic self and not making judgments of others. Personally I work on this all the time.

In the late summer of 2011 when I knew my mom was nearing her physical death and spiritual transition, I began to pay very close attention to the book Home With God by Neil Donald Walsch. I gained an expanded awareness of death and I the guidance that was most valuable for then and remains for me is …once you no longer fear death, you are able to stop fear living.

There Are Many Steve Jobs…

From my point of view Steve Jobs demonstrated what was possible by dismissing the fear of living. Guess what…so did Jesus, Moses, Socrates, Plato, Buddha, Mother Theresa and countless others. Now here is the really cool part: we are intended to demonstrate our authentic self. That is why we chose to show up on this physical plane. What stops us from “being all we can be” ? Our fears stop us…our limiting beliefs stop us. Yes I have them and I know. So I work on them and share with you what I learn. So share with me and tens of thousands of others by commenting on this point.

Remember You Will Die

In Steve’s biography there is a brief story about a military general who when leading his troops through the town following a victory had behind him a soldier repeating “you too will die” reminding him not to be caught up in the glory. That story and what I have shared with you from Steve Job’s commencement address and Home With God have been compelling insights for me.

It Is That Simple…and Yet Very Challenging

So you have an opportunity to agree with this or not. We can go on focusing on what other people think, focusing on what have I done or not done, focusing on what we don’t have or have and we don’t want to lose, focusing on what he/she said or didn’t say or do or what the other thought we have in our mind and intend or don’t …and on an on…you get the picture…Or….. we can focus on what is possible when we dismiss all of that. I remember the book The Five Wishes and it really gets to the point… of all of this. If you are close to your physical death and you have a few minutes to answer the question…what five things would you do different if you had the chance what would they be? Now if you are reading this it is likely you are not close to your death and have the opportunity to do those five things now.

Let me add a little more outrageously spicy sauce to this recipe…if your five things are all about what you want to see or do personally, I ask how does that achieve the purpose for you showing up on this planet. As a personal example, the greatest reward for me is helping others transform from where they are now to where they want to be. Guess what I am doing by writing this!!

I have learned to pay very close attention to messages I am intended to receive as there are no coincidences .  This first became more prevalent for me when I started studying Conversations With God by Neale Donald Walsch. The jacket the three volume series had a quote from Book 1 that affirmed messages from God come from many source including ones we would normally not associate as being a source of messages from God.  For me there is always a two step process. First I read or hear something. Then I have a strong feeling to take action.  The key is then to take action.

Two Very Significant Recent Messages

Message 1

Several weeks ago I noticed a message from Anita Casalina on my Facebook news feed. That is not unusual except this time I had a strong feeling to call her. I have connected with Anita in the past. However we have not talked for quite some time. So I called her and we had a wonderful chat. I learned about new projects and an upcoming retreat in Hawaii. During that call I mentioned I have an number of questions and would she agree to a teleconference call where The Guides would help. I offered to share this idea and recording with all of my connections with the idea that would expand the group of people connected with her and her work.

Anita is a wonderful, beautiful lady and she expressed delight in this idea. A week later (yesterday which was Saturday) we did the call. When you listen to the recording I feel you will agree this is very valuable.  I know the content would support charging at least $97 for this series. However, Anita and I started our conversation with the idea of sharing ideas on these questions and more. We did not have a view towards monetizing this and we are not.

Here are the questions we addressed on this recording:

1. Every spiritual thought leader I have ever studied advocates the power of meditation. Mind chatter is a challenge for me and many and meditation is what is most often referenced for quieting the mind. What is your guidance on meditation and some tips for meditating are most welcomed.
2. Many talk of stress, fear, anxiety and at times find themselves in the negative states of anger, resentment and more.  One teaching on this is for example “before thought, no stress”.  So the difference is thought. How do we best know when an emotion serves us and when it doesn’t. When it doesn’t how do we most quickly move past that emotion.
3. I love expanding my own understanding of my “authentic self”  Please help us understand more fully the idea of authentic self or the Divine Source Energy within us and how do we best be in the state of connection with our authentic self.
4. Please clarify collective consciousness vs. the power of the authentic self.  Example come to mind to clarify this question are the  abhorrent event we hear about on the news including violation of human rights, mass killings, war and more. Alternatively because of technology there are more and more people like Anita as an example who are fantastic sources of unconditional love.  It seems like destructive collective consciousness has been a very big part of society for as long as we have records. What is the key to shifting life on this planet to the state of cooperation, peace, love and harmony?
5. Being in the present is different from meditating. This means just that …our mind and focus is where we are at right now…not in events of the past or thoughts of the future. How do we become better at focusing on the moment while balancing that with what we intend to experience in the future? As Importantly, how do we avoid dwelling on experiences that are past?

Message 2

About a month ago I was thinking about the major goals I had set out to manifest this year and realized I had moved off the path of  focusing on the great work of my dear friend Temple Hayes. Temple is the Senior Minister of First Unity of St. Petersburg, Fl.  She is the founder of Life Rights which is “the right of all to live their intentions in freedom and peace”. When she first told me that definition in 2008, I knew I was intended to help her. I have helped however there is a lot more possible so I suggested we set up a 3-4 hour meeting to regroup and set the near term strategy. We agreed the meeting would be yesterday (Saturday).

On Friday she called and said an event at Unity was in conflict with our meeting but that she wanted me to go with her to this event. I wasn’t excited about that idea for a number of reasons so I said I would get back to her. Later that day, I felt the message “go Steve” and I text her and set the time I would meet her Saturday morning.

The event “blew me away” It was all about a topic which I studied to some extent however wasn’t really focused on. Now I am and it deserved much more time and space than I have available right now.

In conclusion for now,  yesterday (Saturday) was a tremendous expansion for my awareness. I am sharing this with you starting today with the recording and then moving forward with additional recordings, articles and videos as well.

The Goal Achieving Process

You may be surprised to know that most people do not have a clear plan for what they intend to experience. So the first step in the goal achieving process is to establish clear measurable goals in each of the Three Pillars of our life

1. Health
2. Relationships
3. Money

Once we establish the goals and the time frame for achieving these goals, it is very important to define the daily action steps we will take that will result in goal achievement.

Where Most of Us Screw Up Goal Achievement

When setting goals most of the people I know (and I catch myself doing this all the time) think in terms of “this is what I want!”.  We dismiss or do not remember the Law of Attraction which tells us the Universe delivers back to us the vibration that we send out.  So when we “want” we create more of the situations that result in us “wanting”.

Our opportunity is to recognize that all we intend to experience is already here for us to manifest.  We seem to ignore or block our personal power. I feel the number one way that we block this power is by focusing on what we want to experience.  Numerous thought leaders throughout history remind us that the more we help others experience what they prefer, the faster we can experience what we prefer.  The focus on helping others experience what we personally intend to experience has a big bonus called the multiplier effect.  The multiplier effect is where we do something that helps more than one person, we receive back the energy from multiple people.  This may be challenging to accept because we often look for evidence. Thing is the Law of Reciprocity is always working and is timeless.  Timeless is the reason we are not always able to correlate what we do for others as benefiting ourselves in a measurable way.

Study the Laws and Principles in depth if that serves you. In the meantime, focus on the process of being grateful for what you intend to experience being already here, taking the inspired action that leads to goal experiencing and remember the more we help others to experience their intentions the faster we will experience ours.

I vividly remember reading “Thank God Anyway” in the book Dynamic Laws of Prosperity. I personally have not had as much appreciation for gratitude as I have this week. I know we have a huge opportunity to deepen our appreciation for The Laws of The Universe with every event that seems to be opposite of what we intend.

Remember The Law of Opposites

The Law of Opposites like the Law of Attraction is always working…remember to know hot you need to know cold and to know light you need to know dark and the Universe works on polarity and so on. When we are creating the experiences we intend to show up on the physical plane, the opposite appears first. Our opportunity is to be in gratitude for every experience we have. “Thank you God for this gift…the treasure that is in this experience” regardless of the experience. I was reminded of that this week in my re-reading Happier Than God. One day I may share with you the magnitude of this guidance for me this week. For now I want you to understand that no matter what you are experiencing when you understand your power of attraction and the laws of Attraction, Opposite, Wisdom, Wonder and Cycles (thank you God for Neale Donald Walsch) you can move from judgement into gratitude and from gratitude to creating the live of your dreams.

I hope you are doing great. However if you are in pain, if you are in fear, if you are very stressed consider this following story:

A little thing can be enormously significant. Retired Brigadier General Robinson Risner was a prisoner of war in North Vietnam for more than seven years. He was in solitary confinement for five of those years.

He suffered from cold, heat, malnutrition, and lack of fresh air. He was totally deprived of any human comfort. He jogged in his cell by the hour. When he became so frustrated he had to scream, he stuffed his underwear into his mouth to muffle the scream. He would not give his captors the satisfaction of knowing his frustration.

One day, in the depths of despair, General Risner lay down on the floor and looked all around his small cell. He put his eye next to the cinder blocks, hoping that there would be a crack in one of them. Fortunately, there was a minute opening and he saw a single leaf. Later he stated that seeing that evidence of life outside was a tremendously uplifting and life-changing event.

The Process of Personal Creation

“Create a happy, peaceful, joyous life for everyone whose life you touch and for you…..In That Order”

Throughout the Conversation With God series of books and in Neale’s  numerous other books as well as most every other enlightenment resource ever written we are reminded help others experience what we intend to manifest and it shall be done.  Examples include: if you desire love, give love. If you desire a relationship with God help others develop a relationship with God.

Why is that so?  Why are we advised  to help others experience what we intend to manifest?

The answer for me is that when I am focused on myself I am building an energetic barrier to creating what I intend to manifest. I move into the state of “I Want”.  If you follow what is published here and for those who subscribe to the FREE Course “7 Steps To Manifesting Your Dreams” you know The Law of Attraction teaches us that we always are creating. And if we are in the state of “I Want” we are creating exactly that …the continuation of experiences that support the “I Want”  state.

When we are focused on creating a happy, peaceful, joyous life for everyone whose life we touch, we are in the state of Unconditional Love which is the state of God. In that state we unblock the flow of good that is our birthright.  I personally find that is true.  When I am writing, teaching, coaching I am my happiest. I am also most challenged when I am not focused on helping others.

My Intention For The Christmas and This Hannuka and This World:

- manifest the spirit of these special days into each day of the year. “Create a happy, peaceful, joyous life for everyone whose life you touch and for you …in that order.”
