When I first heard Katie say that, I stopped to really consider that statement. After all the first of the four great questions she teaches in the program called The Work is …Is It True? The second question is Can you absolutely know it’s true? So I began applying what she is saying in The Work.

Katie uses an example of a wife wishing her husband would work less and take better care of his health. Katie said this is a very common “wish and should” and she said it is a topic of stress that has been there for the ages. For me it makes sense that this thought has always been part of us. Then I started thinking about all the typical things that we stress about: money, love, safety, freedom, appreciation, acceptance, aging, death are the biggies. I concluded the thoughts we have that are the source of stress, anger, depression and more are the same ones of our ancestors and are the same ones most everyone have now. The situations may be different, but the negative emotions that result are the same.

Katie calls this process The Work. (She is known by her last name.) She says this is simple and it is. However,  clearing the mind of the the thoughts that cloud our world and block us from being our full potential is work. Byron Katie offers many resources for us to use at no charge. When you start reading her resources you will likely appreciate just how much of our lives are stressed because of not accepting reality. Start observing your thought process and see how often you think “they should” “this should” “that shouldn’t”  Each time we do that we are not recognizing the truth of what is. When we do not recognize the truth we further develop a stressful mindset which causes negative emotions which blocks our potential.

Katie provides a lot more information and guidance on this topic. Spending time with her resources has been very valuable for me and you are likely to agree.

On God, you can depend. You may not think so, for you have had the experience of being let down. Life may not have given you all that you desire. It may, on more than one occasion, have given you the opposite of what you desire. Yet, I have to tell you, that is upon Me that you can depend.

You may have noticed that people have let you down. You may have noticed that in the midst of applause, people have let you down. No matter how good their intentions and no matter how deep their love for you, you have felt that they have let you down more than once.

You may tell yourself that you expect too much from others, and that may well be true. At the same time, I want to tell you that you cannot expect too much from Me. I say that with a proviso, however. How to say this. You can expect everything from Me and yet not be attached to your expectation. I could say that you are not to stamp your foot and demand of Me, yet, at the same time I say that there is not too much that you can ask of Me or even demand of Me. So I am saying that you can demand the stars from Me, and yet you do not command Me. Yet even as I say that, you can command, for I am at your command in that I gladly receive your orders.

When your orders, or more politely said, your requests, are not fulfilled, there is no benefit in your finding Me at fault. Our engagement is very simple, and yet it is not as simple as a snap of your fingers.

And so I say that you can request all that you like. You can even order it, command it, and not receive whatever it is and not have your feathers ruffled. There is nothing to be proved. My love for you is not approved when you get what you want, nor is My love for you disproved when you do not get what you want. It is not for you to disapprove of Me because all your desires are not met or to approve of Me when they are met.

I am asking you to call on Me always. True, God helps those who help themselves, yet that is not the whole story. Nothing is the whole story. You have to agree with that, yes? In the relative world, there is always more to the story. There are so many layers of the story, so many ends not tied, and so many ends tied, and so many broken threads sewn and resewn.

I want to say that you never know when your desires will be fulfilled or in what manner. You don’t know when, and you don’t know how.

Too often, when your desires are fulfilled, the sense of fulfillment is not lasting. Oh, how you love your new refrigerator, and, soon enough, the new refrigerator becomes just a box for keeping foods cold and preserving them. Oh, how you love your new friend, until he isn’t new anymore and comes down to just being a friend. Oh, how you love your new wife until she isn’t new any longer. Dreams do come true, and yet there are still more dreams to be dreamed and dreams to be served and dreams perhaps not yet to be served.

You dream of happiness, and yet have not claimed it, beloveds. Dream and claim. Dream and claim.

The Goal Achieving Process

You may be surprised to know that most people do not have a clear plan for what they intend to experience. So the first step in the goal achieving process is to establish clear measurable goals in each of the Three Pillars of our life

1. Health
2. Relationships
3. Money

Once we establish the goals and the time frame for achieving these goals, it is very important to define the daily action steps we will take that will result in goal achievement.

Where Most of Us Screw Up Goal Achievement

When setting goals most of the people I know (and I catch myself doing this all the time) think in terms of “this is what I want!”.  We dismiss or do not remember the Law of Attraction which tells us the Universe delivers back to us the vibration that we send out.  So when we “want” we create more of the situations that result in us “wanting”.

Our opportunity is to recognize that all we intend to experience is already here for us to manifest.  We seem to ignore or block our personal power. I feel the number one way that we block this power is by focusing on what we want to experience.  Numerous thought leaders throughout history remind us that the more we help others experience what they prefer, the faster we can experience what we prefer.  The focus on helping others experience what we personally intend to experience has a big bonus called the multiplier effect.  The multiplier effect is where we do something that helps more than one person, we receive back the energy from multiple people.  This may be challenging to accept because we often look for evidence. Thing is the Law of Reciprocity is always working and is timeless.  Timeless is the reason we are not always able to correlate what we do for others as benefiting ourselves in a measurable way.

Study the Laws and Principles in depth if that serves you. In the meantime, focus on the process of being grateful for what you intend to experience being already here, taking the inspired action that leads to goal experiencing and remember the more we help others to experience their intentions the faster we will experience ours.

I vividly remember reading “Thank God Anyway” in the book Dynamic Laws of Prosperity. I personally have not had as much appreciation for gratitude as I have this week. I know we have a huge opportunity to deepen our appreciation for The Laws of The Universe with every event that seems to be opposite of what we intend.

Remember The Law of Opposites

The Law of Opposites like the Law of Attraction is always working…remember to know hot you need to know cold and to know light you need to know dark and the Universe works on polarity and so on. When we are creating the experiences we intend to show up on the physical plane, the opposite appears first. Our opportunity is to be in gratitude for every experience we have. “Thank you God for this gift…the treasure that is in this experience” regardless of the experience. I was reminded of that this week in my re-reading Happier Than God. One day I may share with you the magnitude of this guidance for me this week. For now I want you to understand that no matter what you are experiencing when you understand your power of attraction and the laws of Attraction, Opposite, Wisdom, Wonder and Cycles (thank you God for Neale Donald Walsch) you can move from judgement into gratitude and from gratitude to creating the live of your dreams.

I hope you are doing great. However if you are in pain, if you are in fear, if you are very stressed consider this following story:

A little thing can be enormously significant. Retired Brigadier General Robinson Risner was a prisoner of war in North Vietnam for more than seven years. He was in solitary confinement for five of those years.

He suffered from cold, heat, malnutrition, and lack of fresh air. He was totally deprived of any human comfort. He jogged in his cell by the hour. When he became so frustrated he had to scream, he stuffed his underwear into his mouth to muffle the scream. He would not give his captors the satisfaction of knowing his frustration.

One day, in the depths of despair, General Risner lay down on the floor and looked all around his small cell. He put his eye next to the cinder blocks, hoping that there would be a crack in one of them. Fortunately, there was a minute opening and he saw a single leaf. Later he stated that seeing that evidence of life outside was a tremendously uplifting and life-changing event.

The Process of Personal Creation

“Create a happy, peaceful, joyous life for everyone whose life you touch and for you…..In That Order”

Throughout the Conversation With God series of books and in Neale’s  numerous other books as well as most every other enlightenment resource ever written we are reminded help others experience what we intend to manifest and it shall be done.  Examples include: if you desire love, give love. If you desire a relationship with God help others develop a relationship with God.

Why is that so?  Why are we advised  to help others experience what we intend to manifest?

The answer for me is that when I am focused on myself I am building an energetic barrier to creating what I intend to manifest. I move into the state of “I Want”.  If you follow what is published here and for those who subscribe to the FREE Course “7 Steps To Manifesting Your Dreams” you know The Law of Attraction teaches us that we always are creating. And if we are in the state of “I Want” we are creating exactly that …the continuation of experiences that support the “I Want”  state.

When we are focused on creating a happy, peaceful, joyous life for everyone whose life we touch, we are in the state of Unconditional Love which is the state of God. In that state we unblock the flow of good that is our birthright.  I personally find that is true.  When I am writing, teaching, coaching I am my happiest. I am also most challenged when I am not focused on helping others.

Experiences Completely Opposite of What I Intended To Attract Resulted In The Expansion of My Awareness of Gratitude and Forgiveness.

A year ago my mom was on the physical plane. Now she  is not.  Her transition was a message for me to really study death and I did. I have written about that and delivered key points at her funeral. Click Here for that video and text message. The audio is weak unless you have external speakers with a sound booster.  Since last year there are new challenges for me and one that is very serious. I know I am responsible for what I attract into my life.  Like many others I am not able to link any state of thinking or energy to the creation of situations opposite of what we prefer.

The events we experience that are opposite of what we intend to attract are the ones for me that result in going deeper into the study of Spirit, God, Divine Source Energy. The guidance is always there.  ”Ask and you shall receive”!  Look at the recent articles I have published on this site just in the past two months. You will see a strong thread of guidance to help you understand just as that has helped me understand something I shared with my readers a long time ago and that is each one of us are individual manifestations of God. At the core of who we are is the same energy that created the Universe.  The best physical description of that energy is “Unconditional Love” I also enjoy the words God is peace, harmony, opulence and perfect experience.

I absolutely know there are no limitations to what we can do that is in alignment with our individual purpose for being here. I also know that I have been conditioned for a long time to think and act like most others including having near perfected most negative emotions which block my Inner Power and instead most of my conscious life I still defer to the outer power of my physical mind and world.

God worked through me to deliver an idea some time ago that still to this day summarizes our opportunity for joy, happiness and abundance. That idea was the energetic sharing of Unconditional Love.  I set up a website totally devoted to Unconditional Love and the Unconditional Love Hug. As I pause today this Thanksgiving Day to share with those in the United States a special Happy Thanksgiving, I share with all wherever you are an Unconditional Love Hug and the energy of gratitude for my continuing to expand  awareness of gratitude and forgiveness starting with myself  for creating anything opposite  of  Unconditional Love.

I also share with you the wisdom from one of my most treasured teachers Neale Donald Walsch Neale writes on his blog The Global Conversation

“In Conversations with God the message about gratitude is clear. It is the most powerful form of prayer. Gratitude inadvance, not gratitude after the fact.

This is because to thank God in advance for something is the highest form of faith. It is a statement of supreme confidence. It is the Ultimate Knowing.

When we come from this Place of Knowing, we move into an energy that creates miracles.

The most powerful prayer that I ever heard is only 17 words long:

There Are No Coincidences This week I found myself challenged to be in the state of peace, harmony and unconditional love. Have you experienced that situation where you know you want to be in a better emotional place but just cannot seem to get there?  For me this is particularly challenging since I know what we energetically send out comes back to us and I surely didn’t want how I was feeling going out to anyone yet alone coming back to me.

When you are open for the answers they will appear. I am sure you have heard the saying “when the student is ready the teacher will appear’” For me there were several teachers who stepped up to help me. First there were the books I study and in those books specific guidance emerged. However, since I am quite experienced with the principles of Universal Laws I could quite seem to get focused. What I was feeling was that I needed to step up my focus on my health including food, exercise and rest.

Two things happened. I did follow a more healthy diet than normal, got some great exercise and fell into a deep sleep. So I followed the plan that I felt was important. The second most notable event was the article that showed up for me from Rev. Alan Robotham. I have shared content from him before. He is an amazing spiritual leader residing in Tampa Bay where I live and the former Senior Minister of Unity of St. Petersburg which is where I met him. My mom transitioned a couple of months ago and when I realized that the time was near, I began to study the book by  Neale Donald Walsch  ”Home With God”  The guidance in this book was transformational for me.  I knew I had the foundation for not fearing death and not only that I understood how to celebrate physical death while knowing the physical emotions we experience when we become aware of physical death are all on purpose.

As written in Home With God …when we are able to celebrate death we are able to live life without fear.  Living life without fear is my current mission and I have a lot of circumstances that test me.

Does living with no fear mean I intend on being  a reckless person? No! I respect life and I respect and practice what we know about good health and energy and more.  I continue to advance my skills with the goal of being able  to help others.  I work on forgiveness…forgiving myself for those times when I am not all that I  can be  for me or another.   I focus on being an example  of  Unconditional Love and releasing the frustration of knowing I have a great opportunity for demonstrating the  state of  Unconditional Love energy much more than I do at any given moment.

What I have learned this year the most is what I intellectually learned quite some time ago and that is Oneness. We are all of one Divine Energy Source.  This knowing is the basis for all the guidance in “Home With God” as well as other resources I continue to study. No matter what we read, see or experience that may be totally opposite of who we are and our value system, at the source is the same Divine Source Energy.  Understanding this is easy for me. Being that which I know is true is not as easy for me as I have a lifetime of thinking opposite of that.

Tony Robbins challenges us to ask the questions each day …the questions like

what makes us the most happy and what am I doing to show gratitude for that person or situation

how can I best make the most of this day?

what can I focus on that is positive, uplifting and meaningful for me?

what can I do to provide maximum value?

….and Tony offers many more ideas for question and advocates that our entire thought process is a series of questions with most of us focused on those questions that are not serving us.  The obvious solution is to focus on those question that do serve us and do result in us being in a very positive productive state.

My steps forward in awareness of what is important have been huge this year…thank you Mom , Neale Donald Walsch, Tony Robbins, Randy Gage, Catherine Ponder, Mike Dooley, Napoleon Hill and so many others who have guided me and continue to guide me.

My birthday wish is for you to expand your awareness.  There are no limits for what you can accomplish and my dreams are for you to break down the barriers to you unlimited potential and manifest all your dreams and desires.  I also ask you hold me in your prayers so that I too am able to dismiss all discord and experience all that is  possible and intended for me.

I have devoted and entire site to Unconditional Love. That happened as a result of focusing on the definition of God that made the most sense for me.  God is Unconditional Love.  For me it is impossible for God to be anything else.

In a recent conversation with a  new friend who lives in the Southwest, he described the work he does with young people in his church. His belief system became very clear to me and accented the difference between Spiritual and Religious. I was born and raised in the Catholic Church and like other religions there is a view that God is a distinct entity. Throughout history humans have associated God (regardless of the label) with a being. My view is consistent with those who view God as the Divine Energy that is the source of all.  The book series Conversations With God explains this in very easy to understand terms.

Conversations With God and other books written by Neale Donald Walsch are not the first writings to advocate the nature of God as Divine Energy at the Source of all including each one of us. I am a student of The I Am Discourses.  This morning in Vol 17 I read the following:

” Law of Love: this is the Law of Perfection and Authority….and it will never be anything else. It doesn’t change if you refuse to let through.  Allow it to work through you and the problems of mankind are solved…….Your problems are only little places where Love has not yet grown as a permanent plant in your world – a Permanent Blessing and a Reservoir of Power that is ready to serve you, that always produces perfection; that always dissolves every problem and always leaves you at Peace in the Happiness of Eternal Perfection.”

I hope this resounds as deeply with you as it does with me.
