Disappointed but Not Discouraged

This lesson was given by Nido Qubein, President of High Point University as part of a presentation on keys to his success.  He gives credit for this lesson to his mother who taught him that it is natural to be disappointed with an experience or seemingly failure to get something we want. However, discouraged means we allow ourselves to be held back from moving forward with our lives because we continue to feel bad about not experiencing a specific outcome.

For example, maybe you or someone you know is looking for a new position or looking for work.  Day by day goes by without you receiving the offer you want.  You may be disappointed this situation continues. However, being discouraged would mean your progress in taking action that will help you is affected. This of course does not serve you or anyone. Plus allowing yourself to be in a state of discouragement blocks the energy you use for creating your dreams.

At the end of everyone of my messages I include this sentence and it is true. Read it and take action for yourself right now.
