I agree most religions don’t embrace this fact. We are all the children of God here on Earth for Training. If we learn well we become a God. If we don’t thats another story. As we progress on this life we must learn to harness the power that God gives us precept upon precept. The only organized Church the I know of that teaches the thing is The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints.

How does this compare to Isaiah 14:13-14 where the Devil says he will be “like the Most High.”???

You said in your heart,
“I will ascend to heaven;
I will raise my throne
above the stars of God;
I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,
on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain.

I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High.”

Most religions do not teach that we are “god I Am” because it takes their power away– the power of only allowing you to reach God through them. If you have the power of god within you, why would you need organized religion? http://www.survivingcancerland.com

Organized religion is what Jesus was against.

Is it such a radical concept, sure beats the self-hating mantras that people usually walk around with.

“Part of the reason I believe is that most organized religions teach God is like a person or entity “up there” or “out there”. They do not teach that God and God Power is literally us.”

I respectfully do not agree with this. There is something (or someone) called the Holy Spirit that is there with us every step of the way. It is the Holy Spirit that we can tap into to bring about changes in our lives. THAT is what people aren’t being taught today because it’s not in vogue to talk about “organized religion” in a positive way. Everything you need to know about living life abundantly is in the Bible. All other methods are just secular
re-inventions/interpretations of what was written thousand of years ago. That is the real “secret” that so many people are missing out on and they never quite connect the dots.

Do not underestimate the Holy Spirit power. I am a witness. For starters, “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit … will teach you all things.” John 14:26.

Wishing Peace and Blessings to all,

Paula

The “secret” to manifesting one’s desires is not in becoming A God, but learning to truly connect WITH God,

I also agree with the author about his so unusual topic. Being a student of the Bible more than 30 years I’ve experienced and seen most amazing healings which are happening through our realization that we are God’s children born in His image and likeness reflecting His power and light. Thank you.

….I laugh when I hear the oldest lie being retold as if it was some new thing. Genesis 3:5 [" For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil."] : clearly show that gnosis is the authors drug of choice……….. You are not God. Only YAHWEH and his only begotten Son Yashuah and His Spirit hold that title. Want more proof? “Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me,” Isaiah 26:9

Do you still think you are God?

It TRUEly amazes me everytime the “god issue” is brought forth, the commentaries that abound by those whom are soooooo put off, insulted or otherwise outright insulting to any whom actually offer an alternate viewpoint other than the standard conditioned religious views.
{not to say that those whom do not believe in the standard religious view points can not be just as closed minded, however, as the viewpoints herein are so passionately against…….I must ask…….}
DOes NOT YOUr BElief in GOD state that YOU should LOVE ALL?
DOes NOT YOUr BElief in GOD state that we are “ALL Gods Children”?
DOes NOT YOUr BElief in GOD state “judge NOT, lest YOU BE judged”?

May I ask, ALL those whom proclaim to KNOW that “GOD IS” this entity/higher form/big guy in the sky, to what DO YOU attribute YOUr KNOWing? to what DO YOU provide for proof of that which YOU claim to KNOW?
DO YOU really KNOW or is it in TRUTH a BElief, a BElief that is NOT in TRUTH YOUr Own, but one that has BEen passed down to YOU from YOUr family, community, and culture?

And, if I may ask, from where did they {YOUr family, community, culture} receive their KNOWing?
Have any of them met this god to which so many purport to BE, to which so many give over their SELF Empowerment, Responsibility, Ability?

Is it not from TEXT BOOKS writ by the hand of MAN to which YOUr definitions come?
May I repeat…….
Is it not TRUTH that ALL that YOU BElieve to BE GOD comes from a BOOK that was written by another human BEing?

Is it not TRUTH that Jesus Christ, one of the GREATest and MOST Influential characters in our biblical history, globally around our world TODAY, stated himSELF, that he would NEVER want any to use his name as a means of segregating, assimilating or otherwise organizing the masses into any predetermined, cookie cutter form or religious institution, that he in fact was against ALL institutions {as he stood up for the people against the roman empire} that in fact we should simply ALL BE LOVE?

I think, it is VITAL for ALL of WE, to realize our TRUTH, to live the life we ALL dream of, PeaceFull, LOVing, Infinitely Abundant, Party’n, Harmonious Serenity, that there MUST BE OPEN Dialogue from ALL……..there MUST BE BEyond Tolerance, Compassion, Empathy and Acceptance.

YOU may NOT BElieve that which I DO, and I may NOT YOU, however………there is NO need to insult, demean or otherwise besmirch one another……
for regardless of what YOU or I, he or she, they or WE may or may NOT BElieve,
we are ALL Human BEings, we are ALL BEings of Earth,
we are ALL part of ONE ~ system, planet, species, Universe
….and perhaps, if we can concentrate on that which WE ALL ARE in recognized, undeniable, unrefutable TRUTH, instead of that which we are NOT, we can BEgin to manifest those dreams we ALL share :)

to YOUr HIGHest HAPPIness in Every NOW, ALLways.
Blessedly BE

There is much truth contained within this piece if viewed objectively. With all due respect, quoting a Bible verse does not constitute proof of any type, in my opinion. It amazes me that so many blindly assume that versions like the King James are the original words spoken or written. I really would love to see more people looking into the formation of the Bible with more objectivity. Very related to the truths you’ve outlined here is in the area of intercession for others. The Christ is the “son of God” in exactly the same way all of us are and it was He who informed us that we have a direct link and connection to the Creator. Even the Christ said that what he did, we could do even greater works. If there is any proof to be had using the Bible that supports your piece, this fits the bill for me. John 14:12 I believe it is. We are all sparks of The Great Creator, without exception, with the power of The Creator within us and part of us. There are numerous references in the NT, in Christ’s own words, that reinforce we have access and are able to utilize the power of creation, just like the Creator. Sadly, many blindly continue to refuse to accept their true divinity as creators. Blessings, Nick

Yes I do consider we are god for ourselves. The knowledge and practice the philosophy will enable an individual to be God for his other co-creations. I think this knowledge an individual require for man’s upliftment or should I say- enlightenment. It is in us if we believe. Keep up your work Steve, tI’m looking forward many more thngs from your stable.

You cannot avoid this one, if you presuppose there is a god-force that is in all things present. If God is closer to you than your jugular vein (Quran L:16 ), and is present everywhere homogeneously, then thou are God, as are I and the table there in the corner. There is no escaping it, but what keeps you from megalomania is that all people are equally god. An oil-soaked dolphin in the Gulf of Mexico is God, too. This is a destablizing thought. Since childhood, we have all been taught to exist in the herd by reassigning our power to the elders or the larger members of the herd. Where a lot of people always go wrong is getting all puffed up with the idea that they are themselves Gods without extending the courtesy to everything else. When you hurt anything or anybody, you are hurting God as God is in all things. Since you yourself are God, you hurt yourself when you hurt any other. Wherein lies the advantage then in striving against one another? You truly raise yourself by raising others as you do so. Fear of scarcity causes church leaders to hide this from the masses. Fear of losing the warm feeling they get by being needed stops their tongues.

My new screenplay uncovers a twisted truth …. It’s extremely controversial and I’ll probably be “black-balled” from the Indie producers Guild … but it is a story that’s NEVER been told from an angle that’s never been thought of …. several points of interest …. a “True Global Message.” It’s the type of movie that will make you think… A True Illusion … in deed … thanks, everyone. Interesting, I was brought up in a Jewish home, in the Chabad sect of Judaism, which is a bit mystical. I was taught that everyone has a Godly soul in them which is literally a piece of God himself. But I was also taught that he was “the big guy up there”, and it didn’t contradict. I was taught that God is higher than our understanding, so we see him as full of paradoxes.
Thanks for the post.

Yes, what a wonderful topic. To me God is All-in-all, as written in the Scriptures and as we were made as His image and likeness we reflect His power too. As Again written that God is good and is Spirit we reflect His good and spiritual power. We like the ray of the sun having the same substance as the sun but not as a sun. Also it is written that we have dominion over all-in-all. So let’s demonstrate His loving and good power in everyday life with good intentions and great hearts.
