Hey fiddle de dee! The downstream life for me! aha!
I have had it with upstream self defeating choices that zap my energy and frustrate me. I am too powerful and too smart to insist on running against the wind over and over again.

Anyone out there agree? Hey fiddle de deeeee..the downstream life for me!

what fun…;-)
I love you

Thank you for your valuable contribution to educating those who need support with manifesting their dreams! I wanted to expand on the topic above about “what feels good” and what doesn’t. A client once asked me: “What if my intention is to become wealthy and I set aside time to read books on wealth when suddenly my friend comes and asks me to play tennis. If I go with what feels good (playing tennis), is that the right thing to do?”

There are definitely those that will justify sitting on the couch eating bonbons all day because it “feels good” to them. But the kind of “feeling good” I think you are referring to and that I experience in manifesting my intentions is the good feelings of inspiration, not just of momentary gratification. A question we could ask ourselves if we are in a similar quandry, “If I chose to do X how would I feel about myself? would I feel good about myself or would I feel like I let myself down somehow?”

Anyhow, thought I’d add that little tidbit in.

Blessings to you and the work you do!
Dr. Karen

I appreciate your comments Dr. Karen and you. Using your example of the bonbons, I would not be surprised to discover a person who choose to do that not being in alignment with their intended purpose. Of course that is possible but my observation are that the human form was not designed to sit on a couch all day and eat. So that is a great example because as you point out, are we moving in alignment with inspiration…the inspiration of our true desires.

I Love You

Thanks Steve, a great post with a great, uplifting message!

dowstream is always a much easier ride, I agree, and that’s where I long to be and will soon be all the time – in constant flow.

Thanks,
Tony.

I agree with Dr. Karen, as if all of us do what we like and what pleases us, then we might hurt and trample many. We might damage the institutions like marriage and family that form the general fabric of society. How about if a man likes another woman outside of his marriage because it feels good to his sensory systems? Is that the right path to follow? Wouldn’t he be ashamed if discovered one day? It is surely not in alignment with God. Steve, I understand your points and Dr. Karen I appreciate your clarifications.

Dear Steve,

You hit the nail on the head. Our intuitive powers guide us through our feelings, but most of the time we try and correct our feelings using our head. Then we wonder why things are not going our way?

Cheers and thank you for the wonderful posts. I seek more .

Reshma I intend for all, including myself, to have a deeper understanding of The Law of Attraction. For clarity, we are not responsible for the feelings of another and it is impossible to be in alignment with purpose and not respect all life. Respect includes non-judgment.

Love you,
Steve

Well said. It is so hard to fight the flow and so easy to go with it. Looking for answers outside doesn’t work. It’s when you travel within that things start to happen and doors begin to open. :) Love and Light, Judi

I agree but would prefer an example other than leaving a meeting. For some people, this would simply not be a comfortable choice (i.e. they’re paid to be there to take notes, and leaving would potentially forfeit their job) and makes it easy for naysayers to say, “I CAN’T!” But the concept is certainly appropriate in many other instances (i.e. you’re at a party and don’t feel good about it…).

I was aware that I was responsible for my happiness but what I never got was that I was not responsible for everyone elses. Once I realized that that was their responsiblity I have so much more time to go down stream. thanks for your inspiration.

1. If it feels good, do it.
Great, drugs feel good, so let’s do drugs all day. I’m also a sadist so I enjoy causing pain in others, great, I’ll do that then.

2. If it doesn’t feel good, don’t do it.
Getting up on a morning doesn’t feel good, nor does exercise, great, let’s stay in bed and eat.

Exactly!

I may not agree with your choices but they are yours.

If your choices do not interfere with the life of others to live their life in freedom and peace then you are living the life of your dreams in freedom and peace.

I too advocate clearly defining what one wants. This should be at the core of everything that one does.
